{DIY} Paper topiary

Here's the simple, easy and inexpensive topiary that I made for the dessert table on my daughter's first birthday.

Materials needed: Styrofoam ball, skewer or a dowel rod, toothpick, tissue paper, mason jar or a clay pot, floral foam

Here's how I did it:

I put the flower foam inside the mason jar and stuck up the skewer.
On top of the skewer I put the Styrofoam ball.

Fold the tissue paper and round the corner like flower petals.

It should look like this after you cut the corner.

Gather it all together like you're making a ruffle.

Secure the bottom using a tape and insert the toothpick.

Insert the finish flower tissue paper onto the Styrofoam ball.

Voila!

I covered the mason jar with the tissue paper and put curling ribbons to make it look prettier. You can also use a flower vase or a clay pot. Easy huh!

And here it is:

  4. That is absolutely beautiful. Even with instructions, I am not crafty enough to make it, even with directions, but that won't stop me. I love a good mess.
